For the past few weeks, some friends, my sister and I have been working to open a small boutique in town.
The Collective will feature handbags, vintage clothing, bathing suits, and my knitwear. I'm really excited to tell you that we'll be opening at the end of this week!
The space used to be a video rental store, complete with old carpet, a sky-themed blue and white ceiling, and even one of those classy curtained-off rooms. Needless to say, there was a lot of work to be done, and we have some crazy 'before and after' photos to prove it. Which brings me to today's post. One of my favorite blogs,
DesignSponge, features the most creative before and after photos that constantly inspire me to take on big projects. If you haven't added this blog to your list of daily reads, do. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorites

A homely couch gets a touch of paint and some new fabric...
Seriously!? How hard can that be?
Or a set of old drawers...
to an amazing table.
How about this bland porch...
Even the sunlight is attracted to this space :)
Rusty and old...
Rich and revived.
Uptight...
Modern and feisty!
